DocuSign Business Pro: DocuSign Enterprise Pro, Business Pro Plan Pricing and Standard vs Business Pro
Business Pro is the most expensive plan DocuSign will sell you without a phone call, and it still meters your sending. Here is what it costs, what it adds over Standard, and why the Enterprise Pro you searched for is not on the price list.

Cost per envelope on Business Pro if you use the full allowance

Date these prices were read from Docusign's own plans page in US dollars
DocuSign Business Pro costs $45 per user per month on the annual plan, an annual commitment of $540 per user, and includes 100 envelopes per user per year. That is the same envelope allowance as the $30 Standard plan. The extra $15 per user per month buys features, not capacity: bulk send, web forms, payment collection, conditional form fields, and real-time data verification as signers type.
Two things surprise people on this page. The first is that there is no self-serve plan called Enterprise Pro. Docusign's published eSignature lineup is Personal, Standard, Business Pro and Enhanced plans by quote, and Enterprise Pro is an edition name you will only meet through a sales conversation. The second is that Docusign sells the Business Pro feature set at two very different prices: $45 per user per month with a hard 100-envelope cap on the eSignature plan, and $80 per user per month with unlimited web envelopes on IAM Professional. All prices below were read from Docusign's own plans and pricing pages on August 21, 2026, in US dollars.
Every DocuSign eSignature plan and price (August 2026)
These are Docusign's published eSignature plans, read from its own plans and pricing page on August 21, 2026 and shown in US dollars on the annual subscription. Every tier carries a footnote that additional tax may apply, so treat them as pre-tax figures. Note that this server has previously been served euro pricing on the same page, so if your own view shows different currency you are being geo-targeted.
| Plan | Per month | Annual commitment | Envelope allowance | What the tier adds |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Personal | $11 | $132 | 5 envelopes per month | Single user, templates, storage, 1000+ integrations |
| Standard | $30/user | $360/user | 100 envelopes per user per year | Shared templates, commenting, custom branding, delegated signing |
| Business Pro | $45/user | $540/user | 100 envelopes per user per year | Web forms, payment collection, conditional fields, signer data verification, bulk send |
| Enhanced plans | By quote | By quote | Customized to your business | Centralized org management, SSO, 24/7 support, Salesforce document generation |
The pattern worth noticing: the allowance stops moving after Standard. Personal buys you a small monthly pool, Standard sets the 100-per-user-per-year figure, and Business Pro keeps it. Everything you pay for above $30 is capability.
What is DocuSign Enterprise Pro, and can you buy it?
Enterprise Pro is not a self-serve DocuSign plan and it has no published price. Docusign's public eSignature lineup is Personal, Standard, Business Pro and Enhanced plans by quote. Enterprise Pro is an edition name that surfaces in account settings and sales conversations, so the only way to get a real Enterprise Pro number is to call Docusign at 1 (877) 720-2040 or speak to an account manager.
This matters because a lot of articles publish a confident per-user list price for Enterprise Pro. There is no source for it. The most direct evidence is from Docusign's own community: a customer asked for documentation comparing Business Pro and Enterprise Pro features, and the reply marked as the answer says the available pricing material does not cover Enterprise Pro specifically and that it needs to be reviewed with Sales or an account manager. The same customer, who had already upgraded, reported that the extra features she was told about were not switched on automatically and had to be requested.
Practically, that means two things. If you are budgeting, do not build a spreadsheet on a number you found in a blog post. And if you have just been moved onto Enterprise Pro, open a support case to confirm which features are actually enabled on your account rather than assuming they arrived with the invoice.
DocuSign Standard vs Business Pro: what the extra $15 buys
Docusign lists Business Pro as "all Standard benefits, plus" five additions. Neither of them is more envelopes. Here is the delta, taken from the feature lists on the plans page.
| Capability | Standard ($30/user/mo) | Business Pro ($45/user/mo) |
|---|---|---|
| Envelopes included | 100 per user per year | 100 per user per year, identical |
| Shared templates and commenting | Yes | Yes |
| Custom branding | Yes | Yes |
| Delegated signing | Yes | Yes |
| Bulk send to many recipients at once | No | Yes |
| Mobile-friendly web forms | No | Yes |
| Collect payments during signing | No | Yes |
| Conditional and interactive form fields | No | Yes |
| Real-time data verification as signers type | No | Yes |
| SMS delivery and identity verification bonuses | One-time bonus of 5 each | Carried over |
The decision is cleaner than it looks. If none of the five bottom rows describes work you actually do, Business Pro is $180 per user per year for nothing. If even one of them replaces a manual process, it pays for itself quickly, particularly payment collection, which otherwise means chasing an invoice after the contract is signed.
The DocuSign Business Pro pricing trap: the same features at two prices
This is the part almost nobody spells out. Docusign sells the Business Pro feature set twice, on two different product lines, with completely different envelope rules.
| Product | Price | Feature set | Web envelopes | Minimum |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| eSignature Business Pro | $45/user/month | Business Pro | 100 per user per year | 1 user |
| IAM Professional | $80/user/month | eSignature Business Pro features | Unlimited through the web app | 3 users, $240/month |
So the honest way to describe the $35 per user per month gap is that it is a cap-removal fee. You are not buying more software, you are buying the right to stop counting.
Here is the break-even, which as far as we can tell nobody publishes. On Business Pro, the only way to buy capacity is to buy another seat, so envelopes past your allowance effectively cost $540 per hundred, or $5.40 each. The IAM Professional premium is $35 per user per month, which is $420 per user per year. Divide $420 by $5.40 and you get 78. So once a user sends more than about 178 envelopes a year, unlimited is the cheaper purchase.
Two caveats keep that figure honest. IAM Professional has a three-user minimum, so a solo sender or a pair cannot reach it without paying for a third seat. And "unlimited" there means envelopes sent through the web app: automation and integration sends are metered separately, at 100 per user per year, and are pooled at the account level on orders placed on or after November 21, 2025.
What is the DocuSign Business Pro envelope limit?
The DocuSign Business Pro envelope limit is 100 envelopes per user per year on the annual plan. On month-to-month billing the same allowance is metered at 10 envelopes per user per month instead, so it does not pool across the year. An envelope is counted the moment you press send, whether or not anyone signs it, and voided or declined envelopes still count.
Separate from the allowance are the platform limits, which are the same on every plan including the free one. These are the ceilings that produce error messages rather than billing conversations.
| Limit | Business Pro value |
|---|---|
| Envelope allowance | 100 per user per year (annual) or 10 per user per month (monthly) |
| Documents per envelope | 130 unique documents |
| Recipients per envelope | 100 |
| Single document size | 50 MB via the web app |
| Total envelope size | 200 MB |
| Bulk send envelope size | 75 MB, tighter than the standard ceiling |
| Pages per document | 2,000 |
| Anchor tabs per envelope | 3,000 |
If you are hitting the 100-envelope figure rather than any of the size figures, that is a plan problem and no amount of file compression will fix it. If you are hitting the size figures, our DocuSign file size and envelope limits page maps each error message to what actually triggered it.
How much does DocuSign Business Pro cost per year?
DocuSign Business Pro costs $540 per user per year, billed as an annual commitment. A team of five is $2,700 a year for 500 envelopes; a team of ten is $5,400 for 1,000. Additional tax may apply on top, and the annual commitment is exactly twelve times the monthly figure, so the "annual" framing is a contract term rather than a discount on this tier.
| Team size | Annual cost | Envelopes included | Cost per envelope |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 user | $540 | 100 | $5.40 |
| 3 users | $1,620 | 300 | $5.40 |
| 5 users | $2,700 | 500 | $5.40 |
| 10 users | $5,400 | 1,000 | $5.40 |
| 25 users | $13,500 | 2,500 | $5.40 |
Cost per envelope is flat because capacity and headcount are the same purchase. That is the structural thing to understand about this plan: you cannot buy volume without buying people, and you cannot buy people without buying volume you may not need. A flat monthly plan breaks that link, which is the whole reason products like SignSend price the way they do.
Is DocuSign Business Pro worth it?
DocuSign Business Pro is worth it if you need bulk send, payment collection, or web forms, and your sending stays under 100 envelopes per user per year. It is poor value if you are buying it hoping for more capacity, because it includes exactly the same allowance as the $30 Standard plan.
The clearest way to decide is to sort yourself into one of three buckets. Low volume with simple needs: Standard, and save the $180 per user. Low volume with one of the five Business Pro features genuinely in your workflow: Business Pro, and it will pay back. High volume of any kind: neither, because you will spend your first quarter buying seats you do not need. That third group should be pricing IAM Professional or a flat-rate product instead.
There is also a middle case worth naming. Teams that need bulk send are almost by definition high-volume teams, because bulk send exists to hit many recipients at once and every recipient burns an envelope. Buying Business Pro specifically for bulk send, on a 100-envelope allowance, is close to self-defeating. If that is you, read how DocuSign bulk send counts envelopes before you pick a tier.
How do you upgrade to or downgrade from Business Pro?
Change your DocuSign plan in the web app under Settings, then Plan and Billing, then Change Plan. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated; downgrades generally take effect at the end of the current term rather than straight away, because you are inside an annual commitment.
Three things catch people out. Adding a seat mid-term is prorated for the remainder of the term, but the envelope allowance that comes with the seat is prorated too, so a seat added in month ten does not deliver a full hundred envelopes. Removing a seat does not usually refund the commitment. And if you bought through the App Store or Google Play, plan changes and cancellations happen at Apple or Google, not inside Docusign.
If you are considering leaving entirely rather than changing tier, the difference between cancelling and closing matters: cancelling downgrades you to a free account at the end of the term and you keep your documents, while closing permanently deletes the account, the profile and every document in it. We cover both routes in how to delete a DocuSign account.
Cheaper ways to get the things Business Pro is sold for
If you have worked out that you are paying $540 a year per person for one feature, it is worth knowing what the alternatives charge for the same job. These are list prices confirmed on the dates shown, not estimates.
| If you need | DocuSign route | Cost | Cheaper route |
|---|---|---|---|
| Unlimited sending | IAM Professional | $80/user/month, 3-user minimum | A flat-rate plan with no envelope meter |
| Bulk send | Business Pro | $45/user/month, recipients still metered | A tool that does not count recipients as separate documents |
| Payment collection at signing | Business Pro | $45/user/month | A payment link in the agreement, if your volume is low |
| API sending | Developer plans | From $50/month for 40 envelopes | See our DocuSign API pricing breakdown before committing |
| A second user only | Standard | $30/user/month | Any flat-rate plan priced per account |
None of that makes Business Pro a bad product. It makes it a specific product, sold to teams that need a named set of features at a volume that fits inside a hundred sends a person. Buying it for any other reason is where the money goes missing. For the full field, our e-signature pricing comparison puts every vendor's published rate side by side.
Features
What people are really deciding when they land on Business Pro
Four questions account for almost every visit to a page like this one.
Whether the jump from Standard is worth $180 a year
Standard is $30 per user per month and Business Pro is $45. Over a year that is $180 more per user, and it buys you exactly zero extra envelopes. If the only reason you are looking at Business Pro is volume, it will not help you. The upgrade is worth it when you need bulk send, want to collect payment at the moment of signature, or need a public web form that starts an agreement.
Whether Enterprise Pro is something they can just buy
It is not on the price list. Docusign's own community has a thread asking for a Business Pro versus Enterprise Pro feature comparison, and the answer marked as the solution points at the public pricing page and notes it does not cover Enterprise Pro, so it has to go through Sales or an account manager. If a page quotes you a per-user list price for Enterprise Pro, treat that number with suspicion.
Whether 100 envelopes a year is enough
One hundred envelopes per user per year is roughly two sends a week. For a small sales team closing a few contracts a month it is fine. For a recruiter sending offer letters, a property manager turning leases, or anyone whose volume is lumpy, it runs out. There is no overage to buy on the self-serve plan: you add seats, upgrade, or wait for the annual reset.
Whether bulk send changes the envelope math
It does, and not in your favor. Bulk send is the headline Business Pro feature, but every recipient in a bulk list generates a separate envelope against your allowance. A single bulk send to 60 people is 60 envelopes, not one. On a 100-envelope allowance that is most of the year gone in one afternoon.
How it works
How to work out whether Business Pro is the right DocuSign plan
Run these four in order. Most teams change their mind at step three.
01
Count sends per person per year, not documents
Docusign meters envelopes. One envelope can carry up to 130 documents and go to up to 100 recipients and still counts once. Count how many times each person presses send in a year. If the answer is under 100 per person, allowance is not your problem and you should be choosing on features alone.
02
Check whether you need a Business Pro feature or just more room
Write down the specific thing Standard cannot do for you. If you cannot name one, stay on Standard. The genuine Business Pro reasons are bulk sending, collecting a payment during signing, mobile-friendly web forms, conditional fields that appear based on earlier answers, and real-time verification of what signers type.
03
Compare against IAM Professional before you commit
IAM Professional is $80 per user per month and lists eSignature Business Pro features with unlimited envelopes sent through the web app. If your volume is the constraint, the $35 per user per month premium removes the cap entirely. It carries a three-user minimum, so the floor is $240 a month.
04
Price the seats you would have to fake
On Business Pro the only way to buy more capacity is more seats. If a two-person team needs 400 envelopes a year, that is four seats at $540 each, or $2,160, for two people who actually sign in. Compare that number against the unlimited tier before you sign an annual commitment.
Comparison
DocuSign Business Pro next to SignSend
The honest version. Business Pro is a deep, mature product with an ecosystem SignSend does not have, and if you need Salesforce document generation or a formal enterprise security review, Docusign is the right answer. If what you need is to send documents for signature without counting them, the comparison looks different.
| Feature | SignSend | DocuSign Business Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Price | $12 a month, flat | $45 per user per month, annual commitment of $540 |
| Documents included | Unlimited on the Pro plan | 100 envelopes per user per year |
| Per-user charges | None, the price does not change with headcount | Every seat is billed, and seats are how you buy capacity |
| What happens when you run out | Nothing to run out of | Sending stops until you add seats, upgrade, or the allowance resets |
| Bulk send | On the Business plan | Included, but each recipient consumes an envelope |
| Payment collection during signing | Not available today | Included |
| Salesforce document generation | Not available | On Enhanced plans, not on Business Pro |
| Single sign-on | Not available today | On Enhanced plans, not on Business Pro |
| Free plan | 3 documents a month, up to 2 signers, no card | Free plan exists but is capped at 3 documents in total, not per month |

Who it’s for
Who actually ends up on DocuSign Business Pro
Sales teams collecting payment with the contract
This is the strongest case for the tier. Taking the deposit at the moment of signature, rather than invoicing afterwards, removes a whole collections step. If your close rate involves a payment, the $15 premium is not really a software cost.
HR teams running structured onboarding forms
Conditional fields and real-time data verification matter when a new hire is typing a bank account or a tax identifier and a typo means a rework cycle. Standard cannot validate as they type. Volume is usually low enough that the allowance holds.
Operations teams sending policy acknowledgements
Bulk send is built for this, and it is also where the allowance breaks. An annual policy sign-off to a hundred staff is a hundred envelopes, so a single company-wide send can consume a full seat allowance. Price the unlimited tier before you plan the rollout.
Firms that need a public intake form
Mobile-friendly web forms let someone start an agreement from a link without you sending anything first. That is genuinely useful for client intake and it does not exist on Standard. Each completed form still becomes an envelope.
