Billing questions
- What does the watermark on the free plan look like?
- A light diagonal "SIGNSEND FREE PLAN" across each page, plus one line along the foot. It is applied by our server when the file is generated, so the document stays completely readable and legally complete. Paid plans get the same file with nothing added.
- If I upgrade, do I have to re-sign anything?
- No. We store the clean file and apply the watermark on the way out, so the moment your plan is active the very next download of the same document comes out clean. No logging out, no regenerating, no waiting.
- How do I cancel?
- On your dashboard, under the plan badge: "Cancel this plan". It stops the subscription renewing straight away; you are not charged again.
- What happens when I cancel?
- You keep the paid plan until the end of the period you already paid for, then the account drops back to Free. Nothing is deleted: your documents stay, and downloads go back to carrying the watermark.
- Do the people who sign my documents need to pay, or even have an account?
- No. Signers open a secure link, sign in the browser, and never create an account. You are never charged per signer.
- How do you handle failed payments?
- Stripe retries the card. If the subscription ends up cancelled or unpaid, your access runs to the end of the period Stripe reports and then stops. We are told about it automatically.
- Which currency are the prices in?
- US dollars. $12 a month for Pro and $29 a month for Business, billed monthly, cancel any time.
