How to Cancel a Signeasy Subscription and Switch to Cheaper E-Signature Software
October 14, 2026
Need to get a document signed?
Upload a PDF, add your signers, and send it in minutes with SignSend.
To cancel a Signeasy subscription on the web, log in at app.signeasy.com, click your initials in the top right, open Accounts & Settings, choose Billing in the left panel and click Cancel Subscription, then pick a reason and confirm. The plan stays active until the last day of the period you paid for. If you subscribed in the iPhone app, cancel in your Apple ID subscriptions instead.
Where you bought the plan decides where you cancel it, and on a team account only the admin can do it. The money side has one detail worth knowing before you click: Signeasy's pricing page promises a 100-day money-back guarantee, but only on yearly plans, and its terms of service call every other charge non-refundable. Below are the steps for each route, the refund window, what happens to your documents, and what the same signing costs elsewhere if a team still needs it.

How do I cancel my Signeasy subscription?
Use the route that matches how you pay. These steps come from Signeasy's own help center articles, last updated August 28, 2026.
| You pay through | Where to cancel | Steps |
|---|---|---|
| Signeasy website, single user | app.signeasy.com | Initials, Accounts & Settings, Billing, Cancel Subscription, choose a reason, Cancel Subscription |
| Signeasy website, team | app.signeasy.com, logged in as Admin | Account Settings, Billing, Cancel Subscription, give a reason, confirm in the prompt |
| Apple App Store | iPhone or iPad Settings | Your name, Subscriptions, Signeasy, Cancel Subscription |
| Google Play | Google Play Store | Profile icon, Payments & subscriptions, Subscriptions, Signeasy, Cancel |
After the web cancellation you get a confirmation message, and Signeasy says the account continues on the same plan until the final day of the paid period. On a team account, the admin sees an Admin tag under their initials; if you do not see it, you are a member and the button will not be there for you.
One quirk: the web help article says its steps apply to Essential and Pro plans, while the pricing page now sells plans called Personal, Business and Business Pro. The Billing path is the same either way. If your plan name does not match either list, you are probably on an older plan, and the same Billing page still handles it.
How to cancel Signeasy on iPhone
An App Store subscription is billed by Apple, so Signeasy cannot cancel it from its side. Open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, tap Signeasy and tap Cancel Subscription. Signeasy's help article notes that this ends the subscription at the end of the current paid period, and that if you do not see a Cancel button, the subscription has already been cancelled. Refunds for App Store purchases go through Apple, not Signeasy.
Can I get a refund from Signeasy?
Only on a yearly plan, and only inside 100 days. Signeasy's pricing FAQ says that, owing to its 100-day money-back guarantee, no partial refunds are provided after 100 days of purchase, and it limits that guarantee to the Personal, Business and Business Pro yearly plans. Monthly plans are not covered.
The terms of service are stricter still. They say all subscription charges are non-refundable unless otherwise specified, that no refunds are issued for partial use or non-use, and that partial refunds are given only under special circumstances. Read together, the practical rule is simple.
| Your situation | What to expect |
|---|---|
| Yearly plan, under 100 days since purchase | Ask support for a refund under the 100-day money-back guarantee |
| Yearly plan, over 100 days | No refund. Cancel to stop the next renewal; you keep the plan to the end of the year |
| Monthly plan | No refund. Cancel before the next billing date |
| Bought through Apple | Request it from Apple; Signeasy does not handle it |
Ask in writing and keep the reply. A refund promised on a call is hard to prove later.
When should you cancel Signeasy to avoid the next charge?
Before the renewal date, with a few days to spare. Signeasy subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel the auto-renewal, and cancelling stops the next charge without shortening the current one. There is no advantage in waiting until the last day and a real cost if you miss it, especially on a yearly plan past day 100.
There is one more charge to watch for while you decide. Signeasy's terms say that if you exceed your plan's usage limits, you can be upgraded automatically to the next plan, and that upgrade fees are non-refundable. Personal includes 5 documents sent for signature a month, so a busy month on Personal is the most likely way to see a bigger invoice than you expected.
What happens to my documents when I cancel Signeasy?
They are not deleted when the subscription ends. Signeasy's terms say the account is downgraded to a basic plan, and that Signeasy reserves the right to delete customer data only after its retention period of 3 years from the date of termination, with notice before it happens.
Download what you need anyway, before you cancel and while the paid features still work: every completed document, its audit trail, and any templates you will want to rebuild elsewhere. If you also used Signeasy's contract repository or renewal reminders, export that list too; signing is easy to replace, but a record of which contracts renew when is the part teams forget, and dedicated contract management software is the natural home for it. To delete the account entirely, Signeasy's FAQ says to email support with the subject line delete account, from the address on the account.
What Signeasy costs against a flat plan
Most teams who cancel Signeasy still need to send documents for signature. Whether a switch saves money depends on how many people send. Signeasy prices every plan per seat; SignSend charges one price for the account.
| Who sends | Signeasy, billed yearly | SignSend, billed yearly |
|---|---|---|
| 1 person, under 5 documents a month | $120 on Personal | $288 on Pro |
| 2 people | $480 on Business | $288 on Pro |
| 3 people | $720 on Business, $1,080 on Business Pro | $288 on Pro |
| 4 to 10 people | $960 to $2,400 on Business | $588 on Business |
Signeasy's yearly rates are $10, $20 and $30 per seat a month. Billed monthly, Signeasy's own comparison pages list $15, $30 and $40, which fits the Save up to 33% label on its pricing toggle. SignSend Pro is $49 a month or $288 a year for up to 3 people with unlimited documents and unlimited signers, and Business is $99 a month or $588 a year for up to 10 people, with bulk send to a list.
The honest read: a solo user who sends a handful of documents a month pays less on Signeasy Personal, and should stay. The switch pays for teams. Our Signeasy alternative page goes through the features side by side, the Signeasy pricing breakdown covers every plan and its send limit, and the e-signature pricing comparison puts both next to DocuSign, Dropbox Sign and signNow.
Signeasy cancellation questions
Why can't I cancel my Signeasy subscription?
Usually because you are signed in as a team member rather than the admin, or the plan was bought through the App Store. Admins see an Admin tag under their initials. App Store plans have no cancel button inside Signeasy; cancel them in your Apple ID subscriptions.
Does Signeasy charge a cancellation fee?
No. Signeasy does not list a cancellation fee. The cost is timing: outside the 100-day window on yearly plans, nothing is refunded, so cancelling just after a renewal means paying for the whole new period.
Can I pause a Signeasy subscription?
Signeasy's help articles describe no pause option. The closest option is cancelling, which keeps the plan until the end of the paid period and then moves the account to the basic plan with your documents still on it.
Is there a cheaper Signeasy alternative for a small team?
For two or more senders, yes. Two Signeasy Business seats cost $480 a year and three cost $720, while SignSend Pro is $288 a year for up to 3 people. If you are leaving another tool at the same time, our Dropbox Sign cancellation guide covers that switch, and the Dropbox Sign discount test shows why no coupon closes the gap there either.
