signNow is far cheaper than PandaDoc for a team that only needs documents signed: signNow Basic is $96 a year for unlimited users, while PandaDoc Starter is $228 a year per user. PandaDoc is worth its price only when you build sales proposals and quotes inside it. The catch on signNow is volume. Its yearly plans include 100 signature invites a year for the whole account, so a team sending contracts every day outgrows the cheap price quickly.
That one difference, per user against per account, decides almost every PandaDoc vs signNow purchase. Below are both price lists, the yearly bill for 1, 3 and 5 people, what each tool does that the other does not, and the case where neither is the cheapest answer.

How much do PandaDoc and signNow cost?
PandaDoc Starter is $19 per user a month billed yearly and Business is $49, or $35 and $65 month to month. signNow Basic is $8 a month billed yearly, Business $15 and Advanced $30, or $20, $30 and $50 month to month, and every signNow plan includes unlimited users. Both have an Enterprise tier priced by sales.
| Plan | Billed yearly | Billed monthly | Who pays | Document limit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PandaDoc Free eSign | $0 | $0 | 1 user | 5 documents a month |
| PandaDoc Starter | $19 per user a month ($228 a year) | $35 per user a month | Every user | Unlimited, up to 5 templates |
| PandaDoc Business | $49 per user a month ($588 a year) | $65 per user a month | Every user | Unlimited, unlimited templates |
| signNow Basic | $8 a month ($96 a year) | $20 a month | One price, unlimited users | 100 invites a year per account (10 a month on monthly) |
| signNow Business | $15 a month ($180 a year) | $30 a month | One price, unlimited users | Same allowance as Basic |
| signNow Advanced | $30 a month ($360 a year) | $50 a month | One price, unlimited users | Same allowance as Basic |
PandaDoc prices come from PandaDoc's plan comparison in its help center, and signNow prices from signNow's pricing page. signNow tests different plan names on that page (the same $8, $15 and $30 plans sometimes appear as Starter, Professional and Business), so go by the price, not the label. Our signNow pricing breakdown explains how invites are counted, and the PandaDoc pricing page lists every PandaDoc add-on.
What do PandaDoc and signNow cost a year for 1, 3 and 5 users?
For three users, signNow Basic is $96 a year, PandaDoc Starter is $684 and PandaDoc Business is $1,764. The gap grows with every person because PandaDoc charges per seat and signNow does not.
| Team | signNow Basic | PandaDoc Starter | PandaDoc Business | SignSend |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 user | $96 | $228 | $588 | $288 (Pro) |
| 3 users | $96 | $684 | $1,764 | $288 (Pro) |
| 5 users | $96 | $1,140 | $2,940 | $588 (Business) |
| 10 users | $96 | $2,280 | $5,880 | $588 (Business) |
All figures are yearly billing. On monthly billing PandaDoc Starter is $420 a year per user, so three people pay $1,260. The signNow column assumes you stay inside 100 signature invites a year. Past that, signNow bills the extra invites, and its Enterprise plan is priced from $1.50 per invite, so a busy team should ask for a quote before treating $96 as the real number.
Is signNow cheaper than PandaDoc?
Yes, at every team size, as long as the whole team sends fewer than about 100 documents a year. signNow Basic includes signing order, reminders, unlimited templates and an audit trail, which covers what most offices need from a signing tool. PandaDoc Starter is more than twice the price for one person, and it holds only 5 templates and leaves automatic reminders to the Business plan.
The comparison changes once volume rises. One hundred invites a year is about two documents a week for the entire account, and a declined or cancelled document still uses its invite. A three person office that sends ten contracts a week burns through the allowance by early spring.
Is PandaDoc worth it over signNow?
PandaDoc is worth it if your documents are sales documents. It is a proposal and quote builder first: you assemble a proposal from content blocks, add a pricing table that the client can adjust, track when the client opens it and take payment inside the document. signNow does not build proposals; it signs documents you already have.
So the buying question is simple. If a salesperson writes proposals and quotes every week, PandaDoc saves real time and the per-seat price buys something. If your documents are finished PDFs (an engagement letter, a lease, a service agreement, an offer letter) and you only need them signed, you are paying PandaDoc for a builder you will not open. And if proposals are not the bottleneck because your reps spend their week finding and booking prospects in the first place, a tool that researches each account and writes the outreach will move revenue more than either signing tool.
PandaDoc vs signNow features for small business
signNow is the stronger pure signing tool for the money, and PandaDoc is the stronger sales tool. The table lists the features small teams usually ask about.
| Feature | signNow | PandaDoc |
|---|---|---|
| Pricing model | One price per account, unlimited users | Per user |
| Document allowance | 100 invites a year on yearly plans | Unlimited on paid plans |
| Templates | Unlimited on every plan | 5 on Starter, unlimited on Business |
| Automatic reminders | Included | Business plan |
| Bulk send | Business plan and up | Paid add-on on Starter and Business |
| Proposal and quote builder | No | Yes, with pricing tables |
| Payment collection | Business plan and up | Yes, inside documents |
| CRM integrations | Enterprise for Salesforce | HubSpot and others from Starter, Salesforce as an add-on |
| Free option | Free trial | Free eSign plan, 5 documents a month |
Both tools produce legally binding electronic signatures under the U.S. ESIGN Act and UETA, and both give you an audit trail on each signed document. For a fuller view of PandaDoc's own tiers, the PandaDoc Starter plan breakdown shows what Starter leaves out.
When neither PandaDoc nor signNow is the cheapest choice
A team of two to ten people that sends more than about 100 documents a year and does not build proposals usually pays less on a plan with unlimited documents and one price for the group. That is the gap SignSend is built for. Pro is $288 a year for up to 3 people and Business is $588 a year for up to 10, both with unlimited documents, templates, reminders, signing order and a certificate of completion on every signed PDF.
Set that against the alternatives for a three person office sending 300 contracts a year: signNow passes its 100 invite allowance and starts billing extra invites, PandaDoc Starter is $684 without automatic reminders, and SignSend Pro stays at $288. For one person sending a handful of documents, signNow Basic at $96 is still the cheaper choice, and we would tell you to buy it. If PandaDoc's per-seat price is the reason you are reading this, our PandaDoc alternative page compares the other options too.
PandaDoc vs signNow, which one should you buy?
- Buy signNow if a small team sends fewer than about 100 documents a year and wants the lowest price with unlimited users.
- Buy PandaDoc if your team writes proposals and quotes, wants pricing tables and open tracking, or lives in HubSpot.
- Buy SignSend if two to ten people send finished PDFs for signature every week and you want one yearly price with no document count.
Whichever you choose, price it on your real headcount and your real document count for a year, not on the per-month headline. That is the number that ends up on the card statement.
