For one agent, DocuSign costs less than dotloop. DocuSign's NAR-only REALTORS plan is $240 a year with no envelope cap, while dotloop Premium is $34.99 a month or $344 a year. Dotloop costs more because it is a full transaction management system with association forms, loops and task lists, and DocuSign is a signing tool. If your brokerage already gives you transaction management, you are paying dotloop for software you have.
That is the short version of dotloop vs DocuSign cost. The longer version depends on three things: whether you are a NAR member, how many deals you close a year, and whether you work alone or on a team. The prices below come from DocuSign's real estate pricing page and dotloop's plans page, checked this week, and the per-deal math uses them as published.

How much does dotloop cost compared with DocuSign?
Dotloop sells one published plan to agents, Premium at $34.99 a month or $344 a year, plus a free account that covers up to 10 transactions. DocuSign publishes three real estate plans, all billed annually: Real Estate Starter at $120 a year, Real Estate at $300 per user and REALTORS at $240 per user for NAR members. Teams and brokerages are quoted on both.
| Plan | Price | Users | Sending limit | Forms |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Dotloop free | $0 | 1 | Up to 10 transactions | Association and MLS forms |
| Dotloop Premium | $34.99 a month, or $344 a year | 1 | Unlimited transactions | Association and MLS forms |
| Dotloop Teams and Brokers | Quoted | Custom | Unlimited loops | Association and MLS forms |
| DocuSign Real Estate Starter | $120 a year | 1 | 5 sends a month | Real estate association forms |
| DocuSign Real Estate | $300 per user a year | 1 to 5 | 100 per user a year | Real estate association forms |
| DocuSign REALTORS | $240 per user a year | 1 to 5 | Unlimited, reasonable use | Real estate association forms |
One detail on dotloop's site trips people up. The header reads "Buy for $29 User/Month", and the plans page reads $34.99 a month. Both are true: $29 is the $344 annual price divided by twelve and rounded up, and $34.99 is what you pay month to month. Over a year the monthly route costs $419.88, or $75.88 more than paying upfront.
Dotloop vs DocuSign for realtors, cost per transaction
Per closed deal, DocuSign REALTORS is the cheaper of the two at every volume, because both plans are flat and DocuSign's is $104 a year lower. At 12 deals a year DocuSign REALTORS works out to $20 a deal and dotloop Premium annual to $28.67. At 24 deals it is $10 against $14.33. The gap shrinks as volume grows but never flips.
| Deals closed a year | DocuSign REALTORS ($240) | DocuSign Real Estate ($300) | Dotloop Premium annual ($344) | Dotloop Premium monthly ($419.88) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 6 | $40.00 | $50.00 | $57.33 | $69.98 |
| 12 | $20.00 | $25.00 | $28.67 | $34.99 |
| 24 | $10.00 | $12.50 | $14.33 | $17.50 |
| 36 | $6.67 | $8.33 | $9.56 | $11.66 |
Two caveats. The DocuSign Real Estate plan stops at 100 envelopes per user a year, and a purchase usually sends several envelopes between offer, counter, disclosures and addenda, so a busy agent can run out. And DocuSign Real Estate Starter at $120 looks cheapest on paper, but five sends a month covers roughly one transaction, which is why it is left out of the table.
Is dotloop free for realtors?
Dotloop is free for up to 10 transactions on its basic account, with e-signatures, association forms and the audit trail included. Past that, or for Premium features like task templates, clause libraries, fax and phone support, it is $34.99 a month. Many agents also get dotloop through their brokerage, in which case the agent pays nothing directly.
A free tier that runs out after ten deals suits a part-time agent. For anyone closing more than that, the decision is between $344 for dotloop and $240 for DocuSign REALTORS, not between free and paid.
What does a real estate team pay for dotloop or DocuSign?
Neither publishes a team price you can check out with. Dotloop Teams and Brokers are "Contact Us" on its plans page, and DocuSign's real estate plans stop at five users, after which Enhanced is quoted. If each agent on a team simply buys their own plan, five agents pay $1,200 a year on DocuSign REALTORS and $1,720 on dotloop Premium annual.
| Agents | DocuSign REALTORS | Dotloop Premium annual | Authentisign | SignSend |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | $240 | $344 | $129 | $288 (Pro) |
| 3 | $720 | $1,032 | $387 | $288 (Pro) |
| 5 | $1,200 | $1,720 | $645 | $588 (Business) |
| 10 | Quoted | Quoted | $1,290 | $588 (Business) |
Authentisign is in that table because a lot of agents already have it. Lone Wolf sells it at $13 a month or $129 a year, and many MLSs and associations supply it at no extra cost. Our page on Authentisign pricing has the full breakdown, including the two trial lengths in Lone Wolf's two storefronts.
Which is better for realtors, dotloop or DocuSign?
Dotloop is better for a realtor who has no transaction management and wants forms, task lists and the signed file in one place. DocuSign is better for a realtor whose brokerage already runs transactions somewhere else and who only needs signatures, because REALTORS is cheaper and has no send cap. Paying for both is the mistake to avoid.
- Choose dotloop if you fill association forms yourself, nobody gives you a transaction system, and you close more than ten deals a year.
- Choose DocuSign REALTORS if you are a NAR member, your brokerage handles compliance and files, and you need unlimited sends at the lowest published price.
- Choose neither if your MLS already supplies Authentisign or your brokerage already pays for dotloop. Check your member portal before you buy.

The paperwork that is not a transaction
A lot of what a team or brokerage sends for signature never sits inside a loop: independent contractor agreements with new agents, referral agreements, team splits, vendor contracts, listing presentations, and, for anyone who also manages rentals, leases and renewals. Paying $240 to $344 per person to sign those through a real estate platform is the expensive way to do it.
That is where a flat account fits. SignSend Pro is $288 a year for up to three people with unlimited documents, templates that keep their fields, signing order and automatic reminders, and Business is $588 a year for up to ten people with bulk send. It has no real estate forms library, so contracts still belong in dotloop or your forms system. For a property manager, the signing tool is a small line item next to the property management software that runs rent rolls and owner statements, and it should be priced like one.

Dotloop vs DocuSign cost questions
Is dotloop cheaper than DocuSign?
No, not for one agent at published prices. Dotloop Premium is $344 a year and DocuSign REALTORS is $240 a year, so DocuSign is $104 cheaper. Dotloop is cheaper only while you stay on its free account, which covers up to 10 transactions.
How much is dotloop per month?
Dotloop Premium is $34.99 a month billed monthly. Paid yearly it is $344, which dotloop advertises as $29 a user a month.
How much is DocuSign for realtors?
DocuSign charges $240 per user a year for its REALTORS plan, which is limited to NAR members and has unlimited sends under a reasonable use policy. The Real Estate plan is $300 per user a year with 100 envelopes, and Starter is $120 a year with 5 sends a month.
Can I use dotloop and DocuSign together?
You can, but most agents should not pay for both. Dotloop includes legally binding e-signatures on every account, so a separate DocuSign subscription mostly duplicates what dotloop already does inside a loop.
