The monthly figures come from airSlate's own App Store listing for the pdfFiller app, because pdfFiller's website does not print them.

That last part is worth being precise about. The payment schedule dropdown on the plan page has exactly two options, Annually and Month-to-month, and the served HTML carries the labels but no dollar amounts. Switch the dropdown and the price is redrawn in the browser. So the only place airSlate quotes a monthly rate for pdfFiller in plain text is the app store, which is where these numbers are from.

Read the bottom two rows next to each other, because that is the comparison a signing buyer is actually making. pdfFiller Premium and SignSend Pro both get a document signed. Month to month, one is $39.99 and the other is $12.00.

Yes, on the Premium tier. pdfFiller's plan page lists Send documents out to be signed using signNow as the first bullet under Premium, its $15 a month individual plan, and the Basic and Plus columns do not carry that line. The bullet names signNow because that is the airSlate product delivering the signature workflow.

The practical effect is that on pdfFiller the signing capability sits at the top of the individual ladder rather than at the bottom, and it arrives through a second product name. If signing is a small part of a job that is mostly editing PDFs, that is a reasonable way to buy. If signing is the whole job, you are paying for a form library, an OCR engine and a rewrite tool to get to one bullet point.

It depends on which half of pdfFiller you use. For sending documents out to be signed, SignSend is the closest like for like at a much lower month to month price: $12 a month against pdfFiller Premium's $39.99 billed monthly, with unlimited documents, unlimited signers, automatic reminders and a certificate of completion on every finished file. For heavy PDF editing, a dedicated editor will serve you better than any signing tool, and that includes this one.

That third row surprises people. pdfFiller Basic on the yearly rate plus SignSend Pro comes to $20 a month and gives you a full editor and unlimited signing. pdfFiller Premium billed monthly is $39.99 for the same two jobs.

Click your profile icon, go to My Account, open the Subscription and payment tab, and click Cancel subscription. Those are the steps pdfFiller gives on its own cancellation FAQ. Do that rather than deleting the account, because pdfFiller says the two do different things to your files.

The FAQ puts it in consecutive sentences. Cancelling gives you one month to download your files before they become unavailable. Deleting your account results in the immediate removal of all documents. pdfFiller is worth it if you edit PDFs often enough that an editor earns its keep. It has been in business since 2008, its plan page shows a 180 Day Money Back Guarantee badge and a 98% Customer Recommended badge, and it advertises a library of over 25 million fillable forms. Those are real strengths and no signing tool matches them.

Where buyers feel let down is when they signed up for one thing and are billed for another. The trial converts to a year charged up front. The tier that sends for signature is the top one. And the price that persuaded them was the annual rate. None of that is hidden exactly, but none of it is on the first screen either, and a $8 a month impression that turns into $179.99 on a card is how a tool ends up with people searching for a way out of it.

SignSend Pro is $12 a month, billed month to month, with unlimited documents, unlimited signers, automatic reminders to anybody who has not signed, a full audit trail and a certificate of completion on every finished document.
