How to Cancel DocHub Subscription and Switch to Flat-Rate E-Signature Software

To cancel a DocHub subscription as an individual, sign in and open Settings, Billing, Plans (dochub.com/settings/billing/plans), then downgrade to the free plan. If DocHub is paid for by an organization, an admin cancels it from the organization's Settings, Billing, Change Plan page. Your paid features stay on until the end of the period you already paid for, and you are not charged again.

That is DocHub's own instruction: cancelling means downgrading to Free rather than pressing a separate cancel button. The rest of this guide covers each route, what happens to a Pro trial, whether DocHub refunds anything, what to save before your paid period ends, and what a replacement costs if you still need to send documents for signature every week.

How to cancel DocHub subscription on the web

Individual DocHub Pro and Basic plans are cancelled from the account that pays for them.

1. Sign in to DocHub in a browser with the account on the plan.
2. Go to dochub.com/settings/billing/plans, or open Settings, then Billing, then the Plan section and click Change Plan.
3. Choose the Free plan to downgrade. This is the cancellation.
4. Confirm, then look for the confirmation email from DocHub support. Keep it. If a renewal charge ever appears, that email is your proof.

DocHub's help center says plainly that downgrading "will still keep your DocHub account in paid subscription status for any remaining period that has already been paid for", and that once you have downgraded "you will not be charged again for that plan." So cancel as soon as you have decided; you lose nothing by doing it early.

How to cancel a DocHub organization or Site License plan

When DocHub is bought for a team, the subscription belongs to the organization, not to any one user, and only an organization admin can change it.

1. Sign in as an admin and open your organization.
2. Go to Settings, then Billing, then Change Plan. The direct address is dochub.com/organization/your-organization-slug/settings/billing/update-plan, with your organization's slug in the middle.
3. Downgrade the organization to Free and confirm.

If you cannot see billing settings at all, you are a member rather than an admin. Ask whoever set up the organization, or write to [email protected] from the billing email address. Site License customers who bought through DocHub's sales team usually have a signed order form with its own term, so check its renewal and notice clauses before you assume a dashboard downgrade ends the contract.

How do I cancel a DocHub Pro trial and will I get charged for it?

You will not be charged if you cancel the DocHub Pro trial before it ends. DocHub offers 30 days of Pro at no cost to eligible accounts, and its help center says that cancelling "anytime before the trial ends" avoids the charge. You cancel a trial exactly the way you cancel a paid plan: downgrade to Free at dochub.com/settings/billing/plans.

Put the trial end date in your calendar the day you start. A trial that rolls into a yearly Pro plan is a charge of about $144 that is hard to get back, for reasons in the next section.

Does DocHub give refunds?

Generally no. DocHub's terms state that "all fees are non-refundable, even if you are not using the Services or have only briefly used the Services", and that it "will not refund you any fees on termination." Prepaid time that you do not use expires at the end of the subscription period.

There is one narrow opening. The same terms say a refund policy may be offered "for first-time users who are dissatisfied", and only if you bought "for the first time online via a self-service checkout process without assistance from a Provider sales representative." Excess usage fees are excluded. So if this was your first DocHub purchase, made online, and you are writing within days of paying, email [email protected], say the product did not fit and ask. If you bought through the App Store, the request goes to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, not to DocHub.

Does cancelling DocHub delete my documents?

No. Downgrading to Free keeps your account and your documents; you simply lose the paid features. Deleting the account is a separate step (Settings, Account, Delete my account), and DocHub notes it is free to keep an account, so there is little reason to delete it until you have exported everything.

Before your paid period ends, do three things while Pro features still work:

• Download every signed PDF together with its signing history. Those are your records if a signer ever disputes a document.
• Export your templates as plain PDFs so you can rebuild them elsewhere.
• Save your billing history. DocHub keeps receipts under Billing; download them for your books. If you keep software receipts for tax time, a receipt scanner that pulls the amounts into your records saves retyping a year of invoices.

If you only wanted DocHub out of Google Drive, cancelling is not the fix. Turn off "Use by default" for DocHub in Drive, Settings, Manage Apps, or revoke its access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

What DocHub costs, and what you give up by leaving

Be honest with yourself about why you are cancelling, because DocHub is inexpensive. On DocHub's own pricing page, with the default yearly view selected, Basic is $8 a month and Pro is $12 a month, about $96 and $144 a year. DocHub's App Store listing puts Pro at $16.00 billed monthly. Basic still shares a limit of 3 uses a month across sending sign requests, envelopes and text editing, the same as Free; Pro is the first plan with unlimited sign requests.

So if cost is the only issue, SignSend is not the cheaper answer. SignSend Pro is $49 a month or $490 a year, which is more than DocHub Pro for a single person. DocHub cancellation questions

Why can't I find the cancel button in DocHub?

There is no separate cancel button. You cancel by downgrading to the Free plan under Settings, Billing, Plans. If you do not see billing settings, you are a member of an organization plan and only its admin can change it.

Can I restore my DocHub subscription after cancelling?

Yes, as long as the paid or trial period has not ended. DocHub says you can go back to the pricing page or billing settings and click "restore subscription".

Will DocHub charge me after I downgrade to Free?

No. DocHub says that once you have downgraded to the free plan you will not be charged again for that plan. Keep the confirmation email in case a charge appears anyway.
