Foxit eSign pricing is $120 per user a year for eSign Essentials and $300 per user a year for eSign Business, billed annually. Essentials is a single-user license with 250 envelopes a year and 10 templates. Business has unlimited envelopes and templates but needs at least 5 licenses, so the smallest Business purchase is $1,500 a year. Offices with 16 or more licenses get a volume quote.

Foxit is best known for its PDF Editor, the main Acrobat rival, and eSign is sold next to it. The price list is short, but the two plans are built for very different buyers: one person with a modest volume, or a company of five or more. If your office sits between those (two to four people sending contracts every week), neither plan fits cleanly, and that is where the numbers below matter. Prices are read from Foxit's own US pricing page.

How much does Foxit eSign cost?

Foxit eSign costs $120 per user a year on Essentials and $300 per user a year on Business, with Business sold in packs of 5 or more licenses. Both are yearly prices. Foxit does not list a month to month price for either plan, so plan on paying for the year up front.

Essentials includes tracking, multi-document envelopes, on-demand notary, Foxit Pay for collecting payments, audit trails and certificates, and signing from the mobile app or from Foxit PDF Editor. Business adds signable web forms, integrations with Microsoft Teams, Dynamics and Zapier, advanced authentication, advanced form fields, user management, signer delegation, bulk sending and custom branding. The Foxit Connectors package for HR, ATS and cloud storage systems is a paid add-on on either plan.

Is Foxit eSign free?

Foxit offers a free eSign option for basic signing, plus a 14 day free trial of eSign Essentials that needs no credit card. Foxit describes the free option as suited to individuals or small teams with basic needs. Templates, bulk sending, workflow automation and integrations are on the paid plans.

The trial is the useful part for a buyer. Fourteen days is enough to send a real week of contracts and see whether 250 envelopes a year will hold your volume, which works out to about 20 a month.

How much does Foxit eSign cost for a team?

A team of 5 on Foxit eSign Business pays $1,500 a year and a team of 10 pays $3,000. Below five people you either buy separate Essentials licenses at $120 each, with 250 envelopes per license, or pay for 5 Business licenses anyway.

SendersFoxit eSign EssentialsFoxit eSign BusinessSignSend
1$120 (250 envelopes)Not sold below 5 licenses$288 (Pro)
2$240 (two separate licenses)$1,500 (5 license minimum)$288 (Pro)
3$360 (three separate licenses)$1,500 (5 license minimum)$288 (Pro)
5$600 (five separate licenses)$1,500$588 (Business)
10$1,200 (ten separate licenses)$3,000$588 (Business)

Essentials licenses are sold for one dedicated user each, and user management sits on the Business plan, so three Essentials licenses are three separate accounts with their own 250 envelope allowance, not a shared team. For one person sending fewer than about 20 documents a month, Foxit Essentials at $120 is the cheaper buy and we would tell you to take it. At three people, SignSend Pro covers the whole group for $288 a year with unlimited documents, templates, reminders and a shared document list. At five to ten people, SignSend Business is $588 a year against $1,500 to $3,000 on Foxit eSign Business, and it includes bulk send for up to 200 recipients and your company name on the signing page.

Does Foxit eSign charge per envelope?

No. Foxit eSign prices by user license, not by envelope, but Essentials includes a fixed 250 envelopes a year per license. Business has unlimited envelopes. Foxit's own FAQ makes a point of saying there are no per-document charges, which is a fair contrast with DocuSign's envelope allowances.

The catch is only on Essentials. 250 a year is generous for a solo consultant and tight for a leasing office or a staffing desk that sends offer letters daily. If you expect to pass 250, you are really choosing between Business at five licenses and a plan that does not count documents at all. For DocuSign's version of this math, see DocuSign cost per envelope on every plan.

Foxit eSign Essentials vs Business, which plan do you need?

Choose Essentials if one person sends up to 250 documents a year. Choose Business if five or more people send, or if you need web forms, Zapier or Microsoft integrations, bulk sending or your own branding.

  • Essentials fits a solo attorney, consultant, recruiter or agent who already uses Foxit PDF Editor and wants signing in the same place.
  • Business fits a company of five or more with a Microsoft 365 stack, an admin who manages users, and documents that need advanced authentication.
  • Neither fits a two to four person office cleanly. Separate Essentials licenses give no shared admin, and Business charges for five seats you do not have.

Foxit Pay deserves a mention because it is a real differentiator: a client can sign and pay a deposit in one step. If what you actually need after the signature is getting every invoice paid on time, that is a separate job for accounts receivable software that chases every unpaid invoice by email and SMS, and it is worth pricing on its own rather than through your signing tool.

Foxit eSign or SignSend for a small office?

Foxit eSign wins for one light sender and for companies that want signing inside Foxit PDF Editor with notary, payments and Microsoft integrations. SignSend wins for 2 to 10 people who send PDFs for signature every week and want one yearly price.

SignSend does less than Foxit on paper. It takes a PDF up to 20 MB, places the signature block, sends it, reminds anyone who has not signed and returns a signed copy with a full audit trail and certificate. It has no notary, no payments, no PDF editor and no integrations. What it does have is a price that does not climb with headcount inside the plan: $288 a year for up to 3 people on Pro, $588 for up to 10 on Business, with unlimited documents on both. If you are comparing several vendors at once, our e-signature pricing comparison puts Foxit-style per-user pricing next to DocuSign, Adobe, Dropbox Sign and others at the same team sizes, and Xodo Sign pricing covers the other low-cost per-seat option.

How to price Foxit eSign for your office in five minutes

  1. Count the people who send documents, not the people who sign them.
  2. Count last quarter's documents and multiply by four. Over 250 per person rules out Essentials.
  3. One sender under 250 a year: Foxit eSign Essentials at $120.
  4. Five or more senders who need Microsoft integrations or web forms: Foxit eSign Business at $300 each.
  5. Two to ten senders who mainly need contracts signed: price SignSend Pro or Business against both using the table above.

If you are also weighing Foxit as an Acrobat replacement, Adobe Acrobat Sign pricing lays out what Acrobat for teams costs per license, and the best e-signature software for small business sorts the field by team size.
